Help Kylie and Davey Sleep Safely

Meet my niece and nephew, Kylie and Davey! Goodness I love them so much! They’re both extraordinary kids who bring

joy and light into our family!

Both Kylie and Davey have Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.

They are both non-verbal and navigate the world through their unique perspectives.

Each week, Kylie and Davey dedicate up to 30 hours to various therapies- speech, occupational, behavioral, and

more-to help them communicate, learn, and grow. These intensive sessions are crucial for their development but

come with significant financial strain.

Beyond therapy, they face daily challenges

Both Kylie and Davey have significant chronic sleep deprivation. Struggling to fall and stay asleep, leading to exhaustion.

For both Kylie and Davey this struggle can lead to increased irritability, mood swings, and behavioral challenges. It also impairs cognitive functions, making it harder for them to focus, learn new skills, and

retain information.

This disruption in sleep not only affects

their daily routines but is also an emotional, physical and mental strain on their parents and caregivers.

The Need for Two Cubby Beds!

To address their sleep challenges and ensure safety during the night, and bring physical and mental relief, I’m hoping to purchase two autism specialized Cubby Beds-

They are specialized sensory sleep pods designed for children with autism. These beds offer an enclosed design that ensures safety and security. They include sensory calming lights, sounds, and

textures to aid relaxation. They also have monitoring capabilities which will allow their parents piece of mind and actual rest!

The cost of one Cubby Bed is approximately $15,000, making

the total for two beds $30,000. Insurance coverage for such

specialized equipment is nonexistent, leaving their family to bear the full cost.
