Greetings, all you lovers of humanity. My name is Christopher Moyer and I live in Grass Valley, CA. I've been helping support the NAKKU Harriet Orphanage in Uganda for about 4 years now. Our beloved leader NAKKU lost her life to suicide a little over a year ago, and her beloved "son" Kyambadde has been running operations at the orphanage ever since. Life had been very difficult for NAKKU, and some evil people nearby her village damaged her in unspeakable ways, not to mention the struggles she faced trying to run the orphanage practically by herself.
Kyambadde and I wish to keep her memory alive by doing whatever possible to allow these children she loved so much and gave her life for to thrive. There is great need here at the orphanage, for things like food and clothes, school supplies and fees, electricity and rent. Kyambadde has been doing everything in his power to help these children, and they truly need a break. One thing they'd love to do is get some land for a garden, get seeds and tools and cultivate the garden so they can both feed the children as well as sell fruits and vegetables at market. But Kyambadde has prepared a document where he has outlined all the needs of the orphanage and discussed the various costs associated with helping this poor orphanage to thrive. We are seeking $4500, and this amount would truly change the lives of everyone at the orphanage. Here is Kyambadde, in his own words:
"In the heart of Uganda, Nakku Harriet Children's Ministries has become a beacon of hope for 45 vulnerable individuals, including needy children, orphans, widows, disabled persons, and poor elders. These precious lives were on the brink of despair, struggling to survive without access to basic necessities.
Our ministry has taken them under its wing, providing food, shelter, and love. However, our efforts are hindered by limited resources. That's why we're reaching out for help. Our dream is to create a self-sustaining haven where these individuals can thrive.
