On the morning of June 8, after a memorable night at a Billy Strings show, Kurt Ragan woke up in Chicago to find his car had been broken into while parked near a friend’s home. Kurt, a dedicated glass-blowing artist, discovered all of his finished pieces of art were stolen. These creations are the foundation of his livelihood, and their loss is a major setback for someone who pours so much passion into his craft.

Kurt is well known in the Billy community for his generosity and kindness. He’s always the first to lend a hand or share his art with others, making this loss even more heartbreaking. The police have been notified and surveillance footage is being reviewed, but the chances of recovering his property are slim. Now, Kurt faces the difficult task of recreating the art he lost, all while managing the financial strain of lost income.
