UPDATE: Joe is finally home after 7 surgeries! While we are so thankful he’s out of the hospital, his recovery journey is far from over. He still has many doctor’s appointments ahead and a lot of healing to do before he can get back on his feet.

Kristi has her hands full caring for their newborn, her boys, and now helping Joe with daily needs as he recovers. We are beyond grateful for the outpouring of love, donations, prayers, and shares so far—it has truly made a difference in keeping them going during this difficult time.

Because of the generosity shown through the GoFundMe, we’ve been able to build the wheelchair ramp Joe will need once he’s home.

Joe is in good spirits and only has a few more surgeries to go before he can begin fully healing. He’s looking forward to leaving the hospital and being back with his family.

Last week, Kristi’s boyfriend was in a serious motorcycle accident and had to be airlifted to the hospital. He has already undergone multiple surgeries and still has a long road to recovery ahead.

With Kristi recently giving birth just three weeks ago, both she and her boyfriend are unable to work at this time. This sudden tragedy has left them facing financial stress on top of caring for their newborn and preparing for his recovery at home.
