My sister Kristin Dawkins Doney was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic liver cancer. Kristin started chemo this week, although she did well she is easily fatigued and needs around the clock pain medication to keep her comfortable. As I’m sure many of us would be, Kristin is very anxious, she has her good days but so often recently the feeling of the unknown gets the best of her. Between her emotions, her treatments, her pain and fatigue, it has made it almost impossible for Kristin to work her full time schedule. As a family we don’t want Kristin to have to worry about how she will pay her bills. We are all trying to help out with what we can but going back and forth to Baltimore for treatment and care, providing for Mylee, and Kristin’s routine bills, it is becoming more and more of a worry and a strain on her. Kristin wants to work and doesn’t want to put the burden on anyone else but with not feeling good while fighting this horrific cancer makes it very difficult on her. Many have reached out and asked how they can help, to know Kristin is to love her. She is scared, she is all over the place emotionally so if we can help her have one less thing to worry about then that is the least we can do. If you are unable to help we would still appreciate prayers and well wishes for her. My sister is a beautiful person with such a loving soul, anything to help her through this difficult time would be greatly appreciated.
