Kristie A. Williams, M.A., CCC-SLP, is an experienced and credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist with over 30 years of clinical service in skilled nursing, neuro-rehab, and elder care. She now dedicates part of her professional work to non-clinical community engagement, using creative tools like this workshop series to bring speech-language expertise into neighborhoods, churches, senior centers, and libraries.
KrisAdora’s Mind and Memory Challenge! is a dynamic, interactive workshop designed to promote brain wellness, communication confidence, and social engagement for older adults in community-based settings. Through a game show-style experience that blends fun, education, and cognitive stimulation, seniors and their families learn practical strategies to support memory, conversation, and connection.
This project serves three primary goals:
- Public Education on brain health and communication strategies.
- Advocacy for Seniors navigating aging and cognitive changes.
- Health Promotion through accessible, engaging workshops in familiar community spaces.
We respectfully request financial support to offset costs associated with developing and delivering these educational events, including:
- Promotional materials (flyers, social media content)
- Travel expenses to and from workshop locations
- Printing and educational handouts for participants
- Development and production of interactive training items (e.g., custom trivia boards, visual aids, game materials)
- Presenter preparation and time commitment
