Help Kristi and Rodney Rebuild After Fire

My name is Stacy Bishop and I am starting this fundraiser for my sister, Kristi Schlicht, and my brother-in-law, Rodney, who tragically lost their barn/garage Sunday evening, February 2nd. We are also under the assumption Rodney’s truck is a complete loss as it was parked next to the barn and it went up so fast, it could not be moved. Rodney has suffered extensive damage to his lungs as a result of racing into the burning barn to save Kristi’s beloved horse, Andy. I have been told it was a matter of one more minute and the end result would be much different.

If you have ever met them, you would know they are two of the hardest working people you’ll ever encounter. Rodney, a lot of the time, works 16 hours a day to pull in the driveway, jump out of his truck and onto a tractor, and work into the night! He will run off little to no sleep to make sure nothing goes undone. You will also know they are willing to help anyone and everyone they can; whether it’s a teenager calling with a broken-down car, the neighbor who needs help baling hay, someone needing wood cut and stacked, or even just lending his truck for a Home Depot pickup order, Rodney is there! Without a doubt, Kristi is always leading the way!You will also know they always come in work boots, never assuming it’s a day off!

They have also been the constant source of reliable babysitters for all their nieces and nephews, and the kids all adore their memories made on the farm!!

At this time, we are trying to help alleviate the stress of the complete loss of their barn and provide them with some income to begin to replace items they need for everyday living on the farm! We are also very thankful to Trulillium Stables for their generosity in boarding Andy for Kristi and Rodney! We are hoping to get him back home as soon as possible!
