In August 2024, our mother, Kristen Smith, was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. This news has been incredibly hard for our family, but we are staying hopeful and fighting alongside her every step of the way.

She underwent surgery in late August to remove as much of the tumor as possible, and now she is starting an intense six-week regimen of chemotherapy and radiation. Her treatment plan is designed to be aggressive because she is determined to beat this. Kristen has always been a fighter, and her strength, combined with the incredible support of family and friends, gives us hope as we face this battle.

The journey ahead will be long and difficult, involving ongoing treatments, frequent scans, and regular follow-up care to monitor her progress. While the challenges are great, so is the hope we have in Christ to carry us through this time.

We are raising funds to help cover medical expenses, travel for treatments, and support services. Kristen will be receiving radiation therapy at City of Hope in Duarte, CA, alongside her neuro-oncology care at UCLA. There will still be significant costs for medication, weekly labs, and ongoing care.

Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden and allow our family to focus on what matters most: supporting Kristen in her recovery and ensuring she has everything she needs during this critical time.
