Krisstian P. Jurado—beloved friend, protector, and genuinely good human from Hermiston, Oregon—is facing the kind of nightmare no one expects while traveling abroad. While visiting Chiang Mai, Thailand, Krisstian stepped in to protect his friend Charlie during a violent attack and robbery outside a club. In doing what he’s always done—showing up for others—Krisstian was seriously injured. He suffered a badly broken femur, a broken nose, and the group lost a significant amount of cash during the assault.
Krisstian is currently hospitalized at Chiang Mai Ram Hospital, far from home, family, and any familiar support system. He is facing major surgery on his femur and a long, painful recovery. Unfortunately, his U.S. health insurance is not accepted in Thailand, and the hospital has already quoted a substantial cost for surgery alone. Additional expenses for his hospital stay, medications, and treatment for his other injuries are still unfolding. Once stabilized, Krisstian will need to return home to the United States. Depending on medical recommendations, this may require upgrading his plane seat to travel safely while in a cast or with limited mobility. There may also be unforeseen costs related to follow-up care or pursuing justice for what happened.
Anyone who knows Krisstian knows this: he’s the guy who would drop everything to help you. He’s loyal to the core, brave without bragging, and endlessly kind. Now, through no fault of his own, he’s the one who needs help. Any contribution—big or small—will go directly toward covering his medical expenses, supporting his recovery, and helping him get home safely. If you can’t give financially, your prayers, shares, and encouragement mean more than you know. Thank you for standing with Krisstian in this incredibly difficult moment. Love carries people farther than money ever could—and right now, he needs both.
