Hello! I'm Valerie, but most people call me Kris. I'm 24 years old and have been struggling with unemployment for almost 3 months at the time of writing this.

I'm currently stuck in a depressed town with no job opportunities and very little available help or access to resources. I live with my grandmother Patricia (87 years old), who I'm the caretaker of and who is developing dementia along with barely being able to afford keeping our house. This house is falling apart, with mold in multiple rooms that hasn't been removed for years, ceilings that have fallen and left unrepaired, and a nonfunctional toilet that has pipes running through cracking load-bearing supports. Trying to get these pipes repaired and the toilet replaced have led to water damage in the living room, along with other unexpected expenses from parts.

I am looking for funds to help with both my me and my grandmother's house repairs, along with stretch goals to help me and my grandmother have an easier life getting by.

When the funds for the original goal is complete, any excesss will go towards my ability to get driver's lessons and a car with insurance to help carry my grandmother around and have more options for employment. This money will also go towards my education if all previous goals are met, as I would like to eventually attend college and become a psychiatrist.

Apologies for not having many images at the moment. My grandmother is very protective of sharing images of the house or of either of us, and I don't want to upset her.
