My nephew, Korbin, started middle school this year and has done so well that he was nominated, by his science teacher, to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum Explore STEM (aka an awesome, week-long, summer camp in California)!
We are raising money for Korbin to be able attend this summer. The $2250 is the cost of the camp at Occidental College in Los Angeles. Korbin will get to stay in a dorm on campus and, as the STEM topic title suggests, "Explore the Frontiers of Science and Technology with a Mission to Mars."
Per the website: "During this six-day immersive experience, students learn by doing as they take part in hands-on simulations, workshops, and competitions, while making new friends and having unforgettable adventures as they plan for a 'Mission to Mars.'"
As we all know, it takes a village, so please donate and help this sweet love expand his knowledge and explore California and Mars!
Lots of love and appreciation,
Aunt Kelly
P.S. This photo is when Korbin volunteered to walk a 5K (with his aunt Kelly) for cancer research at the Fred Hutch Obliteride!
