Help Kofi get a new vehicle
I’m Kofi’s ex-wife, Jessica, and I’m setting up this fundraiser for Kofi because he is the hardest worker I know. Between remodeling homes and singing great reggae music, Kofi is always at, or on the way to or from work. Besides that, he’s a great dad and human being.
On the early morning of Saturday, August 7th, Kofi almost lost his life to senseless gun violence on the Dan Ryan express way in Chicago. As many of you know, he was heading home from singing his heart out at a show in South Bend, Indiana, when his van was shot at 4-5 times. While we are so thankful that Kofi wasn’t hit by the bullets, his van was hit twice, and badly damaged.
Kofi took his van into the shop, but it needs very significant repairs to the computer system. Repairs that cost more than the value of his 2004 Odyssey. It seems wrong that because Kofi was almost the victim of a senseless killing, that he should lose the van that he needs to work.
I’m hoping that some of Kofi’s many friends and loved ones will pitch in to help him get a new vehicle. I believe that this small gesture will help Kofi see something positive that can come out of such a traumatic event. Thank you.
