Help Kitty's Family Secure a New Home

Hello all! I’m Kitty and my little family and I have been without our own home since October 2023 due to both my husband and I being laid off from our jobs within the same couple of months. Prior to that, we lost our home of 9 years due to the house being dilapidated and issues with our landlords and the upkeep of the dwelling.

My kids have really suffered the most through this whole ordeal since we lost our original home back in Dec 2022/Jan 2023. They have had to lose their space, privacy, their belongings, their pets have had to be rehomed, and their lives flipped upside down. We have been staying with my sister but it has definitely been challenging and very cramped. This has been especially hard with having neurodivergent kids and them not having their own spaces to themselves.

Our story is a long one, with many challenges in between that would take me all night to go into detail about. Right now, we have the opportunity to rent a home, which will be ready by the end of this month (August), if not, in September. We have just recently gotten into a fair place, financially, so we have had no time to prepare to dish out this kind of money on a deposit, first month's rent, moving costs and paying a past due electric bill to start up electricity when we move.

We have been waiting since October for an opportunity like this and I would hate to lose out on it and disappoint my kids again. I’m asking for enough to cover these expenses, and anything over will go either towards the house, towards the kids' needs and/or paying past due bills to attempt to get us back in a good debt standing. I really hate that I have had to make this GoFundMe but I am DETERMINED to do what it’ll take to get my kids back into a home and into their own beds again.
