Hi, I’m Kira. I’m sharing this gofundme to hopefully surprise my husband with financial aid for our civil expenses that have come up unexpectedly. We are just finishing up getting his green card application prepared and we need some help from a lawyer to help with and expedite the process.

About me (Kira): I’m a US citizen from Southern California, and work as a reiki healer and manager of a chiropractic office. I also am a writer and write many pieces about mental health, life’s changes and navigating them, as well as humanity and compassion to all.

Due to the nature of the administration’s policies with this situation, I’ll refer to my husb. as S to help with privacy.

S is an artist and has many incredible paintings and tattoo work, which he’s been professionally doing for 16 years (he works in the US in this field currently). He’s from South America & is truly one of the sweetest, most giving, and genuine people I’ve met in my life.

Why we are asking for help:

We both come from families who don’t have extra funding to aid like this, and we both make do with our paychecks, but do not have room for a lawyer at the moment. We are hoping that working with a lawyer will help us with the full process and offer us some peace of mind.

We’re also about to be moving in January so that’s another expense we’re saving up for!

My hope is to surprise him with some aid for this process because he is determined to cover these expenses himself, but it would require him to sell a handful of his possessions, which he’s worked so dang hard to get in the first place.. It breaks my heart to think of him sacrificing these things just to secure his safety of being able to fully become a US resident and work here safely too.
