Kiowa Valley Organics has been a cornerstone of the Front Range farmers market community for decades, providing fresh, local produce to Denver and beyond. Since the City Park Farmers Market began in 2021, we've had the privilege of working closely with David, Sara, and Krista, who pour their hearts into their work.
Recently, tragedy struck when a barn fire destroyed their processing and storage space. The fire wiped out essential equipment, inventory—including thousands of pounds of produce destined for grocery stores—a forklift, produce conveyer, boxes, and countless other pieces of equipment. The estimated loss is over $500,000, and while insurance may cover half, the gap leaves the farm facing an uncertain future. Without immediate support, Kiowa Valley Organics is at risk of closing down after this season's harvest and not returning to the markets that depend on them.
Your donation will help them meet urgent needs like crates for picking, a temporary reefer truck for storage, and harvesting tools, as well as long-term needs like rebuilding the barn and replacing equipment. Front Range restaurants, grocery partners, and farmers market shoppers, this is our chance to rally around a farm that's been a staple of our community for decades. Help us raise enough money to get David, Sara, and Krista back on their feet and ensure Kiowa Valley Organics continues to thrive for years to come!
