Dear friends & neighbors -

This can be an increasingly difficult time for people in our community, and I firmly believe that food is not only one of the great equalizers of humanity, but also a human right.

Kingfisher will be opening its doors on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from noon to 2:00 p.m. to furloughed Federal workers and their families, and to those who have lost SNAP benefits, and really just for anyone who could use a free hot meal... for approximately 250-300 free meals, on a first-come, first-served basis. We are hoping for donations from our community to do the following dates as well, and plan to keep it going each week on Sundays (excepting the week of Thanksgiving when we will be doing it on Thursday, which is Thanksgiving day), if we get enough donations.

Sunday, November 9th from 10 am - noon

Sunday, November 16th from noon - 2

Thursday, November 27th (Thanksgiving) from 2- 4 pm

Kingfisher employees and the Tucson community has donated their time and efforts, and multiple local small businesses have also stepped up (including but not limited to: Shamrock Foods, Greco & Sons, Peddlers Son, Arbuckle Coffee, EXO, and more!)

Tucson is a tight-knit community, and as a locally-owned business, it is important to us to support all of our community members when possible. If we are able to continue to receive continued donations and volunteers for these events, we will continue to serve meals on Sundays when possible as long as the Federal government shutdown continues. Purchasing food, water & non-alcoholic beverages

Purchasing dry goods (plates, napkins, etc.)
