Help King Students in Need

It's December and while we're all feverishly getting prepared for the holidays, some families may not be as fortunate as us to have a wonderful Christmas morning.

Thomas Starr King Middle School is a LAUSD magnet school. The student population represents a variety of demographics. Recently I found out there are 20 students at the school who are experiencing homelessness. Even though the county subsidizes and provides basic services, these students' families can not afford to provide holiday gifts.

My hope is to raise $2000 by midnight on Sunday, December 10, 2023 in order to purchase 20 $100 Target gift cards for these students and distribute them before the semester ends on Friday, December 15, 2023.

As a bonus Late Bloomer Cookies (@late_bloomer__la) will donate a dozen award winning Chocolate Chip cookies to anyone who donates $100 or more (cookies available for local pick-up only).
