Buenas, mi nombre es Kimberly Yaritza Menjívar Aguilar.

El 29 de septiembre de 2025, en Willmar, Minnesota, mientras me encontraba poniendo mis huellas como parte del proceso para obtener un estatus juvenil, fui detenida por agentes de inmigración ICE. En ese momento yo estaba acompañada de mi hijo de 9 meses de edad.

Este hecho tuvo repercusión en distintos medios de comunicación, entre ellos NBC News WCCO, Univisión Noticias y otros medios informativos.

Actualmente me encuentro en mi país natal, Honduras, donde ya llevo más de tres meses separada de mi hijo, quien se encuentra bajo el cuidado de su padre. Él lo mantiene con los pocos recursos económicos que tiene, a pesar de que un bebé necesita atención constante y recursos básicos, como fórmula diaria, pañales y el pago de cuido infantil.

Mi mayor deseo y plan es poder tener a mi hijo cerca de mí, para brindarle el cuidado, la atención y el bienestar que todo niño necesita.

On September 29, 2025, in Willmar, Minnesota, while I was providing my fingerprints as part of the process to obtain juvenile status, I was detained by ICE agents. At that time, I was with my 9-month-old son.

This incident was reported by various media outlets, including NBC News WCCO, Univision News, and others.

I am currently in my native country, Honduras, where I have been separated from my son for over four months. He is in the care of his father, who supports him with his limited financial resources, even though a baby needs constant attention and basic necessities such as daily formula, diapers, and childcare.

My greatest wish and plan is to have my son with me so I can provide him with the care, attention, and well-being that every child needs.
