Help Kim Save Her Home and Her Peace

Hi everyone,

My name is Kendall, and I’m reaching out to ask for help during an incredibly difficult time for my family. My mother, Kim, is at serious risk of losing her home. She’s currently about $7,000 behind on her mortgage, and we’re hoping to raise $9,000 to cover the debt, late fees, and help stabilize her situation before it’s too late.

My mom is 62 years old and one of the most selfless people I know. She’s spent her life helping others—including me—and recently tried to rent out her home to a family in need, hoping it would also help her catch up on payments. Unfortunately, the tenants stopped paying and are refusing to leave, leaving her unable to afford her mortgage.

Now, she’s had to move in with her mother—my grandmother, Big Mommy—to have a roof over her head. But the emotional toll is overwhelming. My mom is struggling with her mental health daily in that environment, and it’s heartbreaking to watch someone who’s always been so strong be worn down like this.

She deserves better than this. She deserves safety, dignity, and a chance to breathe.

I currently live in Maryland while my mother resides in Alabama, so I cannot be there to support her like she needs so I'm trying anything I can to help her from afar.
