Help Kim restore home lost due to home invasion

Kim Edmondson lost her beautiful historic home in a fire on Sunday, September 25th, following a home invasion. While Kim was thankfully not present at the time of the break-in, multiple beloved pets were. This includes three cats and two dogs. Of the three cats, one was recovered (thanks to the efforts of our local fire department), and another was sadly lost in the fire. We are currently searching for an orange tabby kitten named “MJ”. Kim’s dogs were relatively unscathed, but one was treated for smoke inhalation at Wilson Veterinary Hospital.

Kim's beautiful home was built in 1937. It was recently featured in the cover story of Wilson: The Magazine. Kim has owned the house since 1997, and it was a showplace on Raleigh Road Parkway. Kim loved her home and yard and worked hard to preserve them.

The firefighters, police, and detectives have been great to Kim, and she has been overwhelmed by the support and outpouring of concern from her family, friends, neighbors and community.

Kim is a selfless pillar of our community, where she serves as the President of the Wilson County Humane Society. She has been deeply impacted by the tragic events that took place these last few days, and a GoFundMe has been created for those who wish to help Kim through this devastating experience. You can also send donations to The Nook or Womble Real Estate. Any donations via check should be made payable to “Kim Edmondson”.
