Help Kim Rebuild After Tragic Home Explosion

Kim has spent more than 30 years serving others as an emergency room nurse, always putting her patients and community first. For the past two years, she’s been away from her home in Albuquerque, NM, working tirelessly as an emergency travel nurse.

Tragedy struck at the end of November when Kim’s home exploded very unexpectedly. Her brother was inside at the time and suffered burns on 60% of his body. The community rushed to save him, and he was transported to the local burn center. Despite Kim’s desperate wish to be by his side, she couldn’t make it to travel home before he passed away at the burn center in Phoenix, AZ. Now, Kim is left to pick up the pieces—facing funeral expenses, the cost of transporting her brother, and insurance deductibles for her destroyed home and vehicle. The blast was so severe that it damaged houses and cars within a three-block radius, and Kim intends to help rebuild this tight knit community!

Kim has always had a servant’s heart, especially for her brother. She’s been overwhelmed with grief and stress, unsure how to move forward. Any support you can provide right now will help get this dedicated nurse back on her feet. She’s served the public, and now it’s our turn to help her out. No amount is too small. Thank you!!
