Hi friends and family,

My sister, Kim, lost her home in the Eaton fire in Altadena last week, and I am trying to help her rebuild as much as possible. Some background: As a single parent, Kim struggled to purchase a modest home back in 1994 as a 2-bedroom fixer-upper. Over the years, she curated boho chic style furniture, expanded the kitchen, and made it a very cute home. As an avid gardener, she created raised vegetable and herb beds, and a plethora of California flowering plants and fruit trees. I'm sure many of you remember enjoying lazy afternoons sipping drinks on her patio, enjoying the sun and admiring the yard. But nothing survived the fire. Kim will need to rebuild; from kitchen sponges to a new bed; to help paying rent at a temporary apartment. It has been quite an overwhelming experience.
