Hi, I'm Kim. In January 2025, after 25 weeks gestational period, I gave birth to my beautiful daughter London at just 580 grams or 1.2 pounds by emergency classical cesarean section. The chance of her survival wasn't promising, but I kept my faith and stayed by her side. Within the first 24 hours of her life, I was informed that she suffered a grade 4 brain bleed. They offered me "Comfort Care," and after initially being insulted and angry, I knew that this was my mission for motherhood by any means necessary.
The days and weeks have been rough, but London, although still in the NICU, is thriving. However, as her sole provider, I have hit rock bottom financially. I never imagined that this journey would be so long and hard. I'm grateful for all the prayers and heartfelt messages. London and I are standing in need and are humbly asking for help. It's pivotal for me to continue to be bedside daily as it aids in her development. Based on my circumstances, I am now torn between how I will continue to provide for her both physically and financially. As I watch her grow, I know that she's a ray of light and hope to many NICU families who face uncertain health journeys. We thank you in advance!!! It definitely takes a village.
