It’s finally time!!! After 5 years of a dedicated, multi-continent, long-distance relationship and countless visits back and forth, Kitchiki and I (PrismPaws) are ready to start our life together!! This involves packing up my entire life to move to a new country on a visa, which can be quite costly!!

While this decision is certainly bittersweet, and I will miss my friends within the US more than I can possibly describe, the rapid changes to the current US legislature and economy have led to this as our necessary outcome. Unfortunately, due to the political climate accelerating our decision, we were unable to bulk up our savings to cover the entirety of my up-front immigration costs, and we need a bit of help from the community to make this once-impossible dream a reality.

As two full-time freelance artists within this community, any amount raised will be a massive help to us achieving this long-held goal!

The costs of moving to another country add up quite quickly! Our current price breakdown to achieve our goal is listed below:

- Visa Application: 1,938 pounds (2,539 USD)

- NHS surcharge for 2 years, 9 months: 3,105 pounds (4,068 USD)

- USDA vet visits + paperwork to move Nova (my cat): 1.5k USD

- Nova transportation, flight, compliant carrier: 2k USD

- Refundable flight (if complications regarding pet import arise) + bags: 1k USD

- Shipping belongings: 3k USD

- Unexpected costs: 2k USD

This leaves us with a total that rests around 17k USD!

While additional expenses are sure to arise, this amount will cover the bulk of the immediate and most pressing moving costs. I will be moving into Kitchiki’s flat, where we already have rent and furniture covered, leaving the above costs to simply cover immigration and relocation fees. The breakdown may be adjusted as different moving costs appear.

Currently, our goal is to file for our visa by the beginning of February. We will need approximately 7,000 USD by this time to pay for the application fee and NHS surcharge. If the application is accepted, the goal is to move both myself and my cat to the UK by the end of May. This is when we will need the remainder of our goal.

This fundraiser will be active for seven months as we attempt to raise the entirety of my immigration fees and moving costs!

My best friend (and now business partner) Apollo will be taking over storage and order fulfillment for me. My shop will remain online and US-based, with all orders being processed with Apollo’s help. I still plan to attend and vend at a few US conventions per year, pending acceptance into Dealer spaces! I currently do not plan to fulfill orders from the UK due to high shipping costs to the US, and the GPSR regulations in Europe.
