Hi! My name is Bianca Kheradpir, and I’m an American high school student from California. On a recent visit to my family in Germany, I had the chance to learn about an amazing nonprofit organization in Cologne called Scharade.

Scharade is a day program in Köln-Mülheim that supports school-aged children that come from families facing serious challenges. Funded by the city and supported by St. Josef Catholic Church, this center provides these kids with a safe, structured environment and extra support for their development.

I discovered that the Scharade is in need of resources for education, building maintenance, bills, bikes and scooters. The Scharade not only gives these kids a safe place to heal but also teaches the kids about school subjects and behavior. The bikes and scooters will allow the children to take part in physical activity. They will be able to take bike excursions to nearby places and I plan to join them for this!

I’m raising funds to help out the Scharade with the cost of school supplies, bills, maintenance, and bicycles for the children at Scharade. Your donation will directly help give these kids a better experience.
