Hello family and friends

we are facing a heartbreaking time. As Uncle Sam is has been taken from his family to be deported back to Lao.

at this time we trying to raise money to get him a jumpstart and settled in on his new journey in Lao.

Sam is currently detained in Baldwin MI waiting with little to no information on when that will be. The conditions are difficult—cold temperatures, limited food, costly phone privileges, and strict visitation rules that make it hard for family to stay connected.

Sam came to the US legally with his family when he was 4.

as growing up here he struggling to adjust to this new life and made some mistakes. As many of us has done while being young.

Which set him back from becoming a US citizen.

Sam continued to live here

legally green card since. Sam always had a job and supported his children along with being the back bone of his entire family. He was always there for all of us no matter what was going on. Sam was the type of person to give you the shirt off his back to help family friends even strangers, that’s just who he was. Very humble person. Sam has 8 Kids one of them being his nephew he legally adopted to keep him in our family and raised him.

trying to rebuild a new life with nothing is extremely expensive and stressful. especially in times like this.

Any money used now will be for

food clothing and costly phone calls while being detained

when he returns to Lao he will need

housing

clothing

food

anything that will help him get started and settled in Lao.

Every donation, big or small will be greatly appreciated and mean a lot to him family and him.
