Khalia is a proud First Nations woman, mother of two, and a deeply respected member of the Barunga community in the Northern Territory. She has worked on the local community council and continues to be an active voice within her community.
Her dream is to study law so she can represent her people and fight for the rights of First Nations Australians. But like many people living in remote communities, access to university is difficult; both geographically and financially. Right now, Khalia doesn’t have a laptop, which is one of the most basic tools needed to begin this journey.
This fundraiser is to buy Khalia a new laptop to help support her studies. I would like to get her an HP 14” Chromebook with 64GB storage. From my research, it’s reliable, affordable, and will be well suited to her needs.
It’s a small step, but one that can help open doors for Khalia as she works toward her goal of becoming a First Nations legal advocate.
If you’re able to donate, even a little, it would mean so much.
Thank you.
