A Community Champion Needs Our Support

Kevin came home to us after 35 years incarcerated and landed straight at the Embassy. Immediately Kevin offered to help us set up our very first intentional community for people coming home from incarceration. This house became Sigil. And Sigil led to the creation of Template House. For years now, Kevin has been the backbone of our community, dedicating himself to helping formerly incarcerated individuals rebuild their lives through the Second Life Project. Now, after facing tremendous personal challenges, Kevin has an amazing opportunity that needs our immediate support!

Kevin's Journey

The past few years have tested Kevin's resilience like never before. Despite facing the pandemic, a stroke, followed by cancer and chemotherapy, surgery to recover from chemotherapy treatments, and to top it all off Kevin was then laid off from their incredible job.

Through it all, Kevin never stopped supporting our community, our returning citizens, and our community houses. His dedication to helping others remained unwavering even during his toughest moments.

An Incredible Opportunity

Kevin has been offered a position with Urban Alchemy in Portland, Oregon - an organization perfectly aligned with his passion for community service and supporting vulnerable populations. This is the fresh start Kevin deserves <3 BUTTTT the position starts in just 3 days, and Kevin needs immediate help with relocation costs to make this transition possible.

How Your Support Will Help

Kevin needs to raise $2,348 to cover essential expenses:

$1,300 for first month's rent in Portland

$148 for night train transportation from San Francisco

$300 for food until first paycheck

$300 for living expenses

$300 for additional travel costs
