Help Kevin Rebuild After a 27-Year Injustice

Hi, my name is Yolanda Roberson and along with my cousin Lutricia Taylor, our hearts are full and so appreciative that you took the time to stop by and hear the story of our beloved cousin Kevin Davis. In 1998, our family’s lives were changed in the blink of an eye. Our cousin Kevin Davis was wrongfully convicted at the young age of 19 for something he did not do!

While growing up in a very small, poverty-stricken town in the state of Mississippi, he was arrested, charged, and with a 2-day trial with less than a 48-hour deliberation, he was convicted of a crime he and everyone else, including his community and his entire family, knew HE DID NOT DO!!!

As a family, we prayed and cried daily that one day he would be granted his freedom. We constantly encouraged him to pray and NEVER give up hope!! We told him to read his Bible daily because God hears and answers prayers.

After fighting for justice for years, he was vindicated through the support of the Equal Justice Initiative’s, Innocent Project. Well, after 27 years, 1 month, and 22 days, God saw fit to release him from prison!!!❤️

This fund is to help Kevin get his life back after it was wrongfully taken away! He is in need of a new home outside of the place he used to call home, Jonestown, MS; a small, poverty-stricken town that is still the way he remembers it 27 years ago. This has now become a place that brings him trauma. But, he has no options right now but to live there with his loving mother, in a small apartment, where she is also taking care of her deceased daughter’s 2 children, leaving little room for him. He has to stay here until he gets funds to help him relocate to start a brand new life God has blessed him with.

Any funds donated will be used to secure a new home/apartment, furniture for his new home, new clothing, food, and other necessities for his second chance at LIFE!!
