Help Kevin Fight for His Life and Recovery

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Crysta, and I’m Kevin’s cousin. I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Kevin and his family as they face an unimaginable and overwhelming situation.

We’re raising funds to help cover the extensive medical costs, daily living expenses, and the unexpected challenges his family is now navigating. Your support means the world, whether it’s through a donation, a prayer, or sharing this page with others.

Kevin is kind-hearted, genuine, loyal, and the kind of person who shows up for everyone else — whether it’s with a helping hand, a laugh, or just a game of UNO (even if UNO doesn’t always show him the same kindness ). On Tuesday, July 29th, he started what was supposed to be a fresh chapter — his first day on a new job. He worked hard in the heat from 6:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with only a 10-minute lunch break and a couple of 5-minute breaks. He gave it everything he had… and by the end of the day, tragedy struck.

Kevin is now fighting for his life — in a coma, on a ventilator and feeding tube, restrained for safety, unable to speak, and flat on his back for days. (And let’s just say, trying to play charades with him isn’t working out too well — he’s definitely the better player!) But behind the tubes and machines is still our Kevin — a devoted father, beloved son, loyal brother, fun cousin, and an amazing friend to so many.

Kevin’s greatest love is his 3½-year-old daughter, Sunday, who he loves more than life itself. She doesn’t understand why she can’t see Daddy or hear his voice. And while she waits, his family is doing everything they can to be strong for both of them — and prepare for whatever comes next.

Right now, we are holding onto hope as doctors monitor his progress. All of his levels are elevated, but there’s a possibility his body will begin to repair itself. Time will tell. He may need dialysis, occupational and physical therapy, and extended rehabilitation. There’s also concern for possible kidney and liver damage, and recovery will not be fast or easy.

Because Kevin had just started his job, he has no health insurance and no income, which has made this already heartbreaking situation even harder. We are humbly asking for your support to help cover:

- Emergency and ICU hospital bills
- Ongoing medical care and rehabilitation
- Travel costs for family to be with him
- Rent and groceries
- Cell phone and basic needs
- And most of all, ensuring Sunday is cared for — no matter what the future holds

This road ahead may be long, uncertain, and overwhelming — but we are believing in God’s plan, and we are trusting that He is not done with Kevin’s story yet. We know that when people come together in faith, compassion, and love, healing happens — in more ways than one.

Your support, whether through a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing this page, means more than we can say. Thank you for helping us hold Kevin up — we are not walking this road alone.
