Hi my name is Bethany… on April 30th of 2025 I got a call telling me my son Kevin has cancer they didn’t know the extent at the time just that it was malignant and spreading through his body… we still don’t have a 100% confirmed diagnosis of what kind of cancer he has but the oncologist and neurosurgeon are 99% sure that he has stage 4 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma which is a aggressive cancer that children get… up to this point we were aware he had a large tumor in his leg where the cancer began but recent tests show that the cancer spread to his spine his bone and his brain as well as his leg his abdomen his armpit and a few other places. He was rushed in for emergency neurosurgery at 2am on may 2nd 2025 because the tumor encasing his spine was killing the nerves slowly making him unable to walk feel his toes or use the bathroom. His surgery was a success they were able to remove the tumor on the spine affecting the nerves but he still has a long road of chemo and a very good chance of more surgery’s. He should be starting his chemo this coming week as of right now… Kevin is such a caring compassionate smart kid. He loves his sister and his brothers he loves his cousins and aunts and uncles he loves being outdoors and of course loves his video games! What kid doesn’t at 10 years old! He has so much life he deserves to live! This cancer has a high success rate of returning multiple times in his life but for right now we’re just hoping and praying they can beat this!
