Help Kenny Richards Reach His 1-Year Sobriety Milestone

Donation protected
Hello everyone! Just wanted to give a quick update on Kenny. He recently celebrated 8 months sober and clean! For those who don’t know Kenny’s story he went out to California over 8 months ago. He left NYC with a knapsack along with his 40 year drug / alcohol addiction and headed out to California for a Black Sabbath concert and a date with death. Fortunately for Kenny and the rest of us. God had different plans for him. He was found on the side of a road in Indio California by a police officer and a couple of good Samaritans. They somehow managed to get him into detox and rehab without ID or any medical coverage. Which is a miracle in itself. Over the last 8 months his brother Paul, his sister Kim, myself and many others have been sending love and support. Many of you keeping in touch with him through Facebook, texting and phone calls. Unfortunately, the state of California will be releasing Kenny from their services as of July 1. Kenny is in the process of getting SSDI and that in itself is a process. As we all know Kenny has never had a problem working or supporting himself all of these years. But right now is still incapable of working . I am asking if we all can help our brother and friend, make it through the next few months. Until he reaches his 1 year milestone of being clean and sober. We are hoping to raise about $4000 to cover the next 4 months at sober living home. I did ask Kenny if he would be ok with me arranging this Go Fund Me and he humbly accepted and was very grateful. Just to let everyone know his brother Paul and myself will over see the distribution of the funds. Being that Kenny is still early in sobriety. Kenny is receiving food stamps from the state of California and is waiting for his social Security disability outcome. He has a therapist, counselor, sponsor and an amazing support group in NA & AA. Anyone who knows Kenny, know what a loyal and respectful person he is. Please consider donating towards this cause. For those who are financially unable please continue your prayers and support for Kenny. Thank you all.
