On Jan 10th, Caleb and Lorena Wipf were blessed with twins! Kenji Isaac was 6 lb and River May was 4lb 7oz. A boy and a girl, born by C-section. They were due Feb 19th, so they were a bit early. Both have been in NICU until this past week, when River May, the little girl, was released. Kenji Isaac, the little boy, has not been able to breathe on his own. Any attempts at removing his breathing apparatus have failed so far. His lungs are slowly improving, and more tests will be done in Monday, but needless to say it’s been a journey for their little family. Caleb has missed many days of work, caring for Lorena after the C-section, taking her back and forth between the hospital and the Ronald MacDonald house, and caring for Summer, who was not able to see her siblings because she is not allowed in the NICU. Lorena has not been home since the 10th, and is dividing her time between Summer (2), River who has been released, and Kenji who is still in NICU. The labor and C-section had complications, and she has had no time to rest and regain her strength as she needs to. It is not an easy situation, and Caleb has missed many days of work. The burden of added bills and co-pays is big for them right now. If the Lord lays it on the hearts of their many friends, we could make this time easier for them.
