We’re reaching out on behalf of Ken and Terry, two of the most hardworking and humble people you’ll ever meet. They’re the ones cooking up delicious meals for the Moorpark and surrounding community at Rachada Thai Cuisine daily since 2008. In December, just before the holidays, their home in Simi Valley was burglarized, and they lost years of hard-earned valuables and money. This terrible event has left them devastated, as they’ve worked tirelessly for years.
Ken and Terry are known in the community for their dedication to their restaurant and keeping Moorpark fed with delicious Thai food. They work six days a week, from early morning until late at night, and even on their one day off, they’re still taking care of the business. Their focus is always on providing for their family and serving the community, but they’ve never asked for help or special treatment.
The burglary has shaken them deeply, and while they’re not ones to ask for help, we know they could really use our support right now. They have gone through the steps with the police report but the perpetrators are still at large and insurance will only cover a small portion of what was stolen.
The items taken weren’t just possessions and money; they were symbols of their hard work and commitment to building a better life.
We’re asking for donations to help them recover from this loss, whether it’s to replace stolen items, help with repairs, increase home security, or simply ease some of the burden during this difficult time. Any contribution, big or small, will be a tremendous help and deeply appreciated.
Ken and Terry may not know we’re doing this for them, but we want to show them the love and support they’ve shown so many of us over the years. Please help if you can, and thank you for being a part of their community. Let’s come together to help these incredible people get back on their feet.
With gratitude,
Maylyn (niece), Nick (nephew), Amy (daughter)
