In early 2025, my brother faced a life-threatening health crisis and was placed on the liver transplant list. After a series of tests, I learned that I am a perfect match to be his live liver donor. I am scheduled to undergo the transplant procedure at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in January 2026. This is a journey I am taking to help save my brother’s life, and I am determined to do everything I can for him and his family.

However, this process comes with significant financial challenges. I will need to travel from Dallas, TX to Pittsburgh, PA multiple times—not only for the surgery itself, but also for follow-up checkups at 3, 6, 12, and 24 months after the procedure. These trips involve expenses for flights, hotels, rental cars, and meals. Additionally, I will be on short-term disability for up to three months, receiving only 60% of my normal salary. This makes it difficult to keep up with my regular bills, especially my mortgage, during my recovery period.
