Help Ken Battle Brain Cancer

Donation protected
On April 7, 2020, our father Kenneth Hale was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Without treatment, his prognosis was only three months. He had surgery to remove most of the tumor on April 10 and is currently still in the hospital for physical therapy and chemotherapy. My family hopes that these measures will expand his life expectancy to 12 to 18 months. He has grade four brain cancer and every additional day with him is a gift.

Ken has never met a stranger in his life. He grew up in Cajun Country, south Louisiana, and worked in the oil field in the Gulf of Mexico. He moved to Georgia with his wife, Phyllis, in the late 1980s, and has lived here ever since. He loves the outdoors, and has even hiked the Appalachian Trail. He volunteers at Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield National State Park's trail club and loves to walk his dog all around the metro area. Most importantly, he is the father to three adult children who idolize him.

Our father was the main breadwinner of our household, and was laid off from his job a week before he was diagnosed. The medical bills are already higher than what we can afford. We understand that this is a hard time for everyone, but any donations will help reduce our financial and emotional burdens.  We appreciate any assistance and prayers for Ken. Thank you.
