Help Kelly and Her Family in Their Time of Need

Hi, my name is Dixie, and I’m reaching out to help raise funds for my sister, Kelly, and her 4 boys . Kelly is facing a battle with metastatic thyroid cancer, and I want to relieve some of the financial burden she's been carrying so she can focus on her health and her family during this difficult time.

"My sister Kelly is one of the strongest women I know. She's a loving mom to 4 boys and 1 bonus son, and she’s always been a rock for her family. But right now, she's facing the fight of her life.

In 2016, Kelly lost the father of her first two children. Shortly after, she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, and what followed was a tough journey involving radiation and 3 surgeries. She fought hard, went into remission, and for a brief moment, life seemed like it was returning to normal.

But when Kelly found out she was expecting her 3rd child, things took a turn. Her cancer returned, and it’s now spread to her kidneys and lungs. Despite undergoing more surgeries and radiation, Kelly’s cancer is now metastatic, and she’s facing the possibility of chemotherapy as a last resort. She has to seek appointments 4-6 months to see if the cancer has grown.

As you can imagine, the emotional and financial toll on Kelly has been overwhelming. She’s always worked hard, supporting her kids, making sure their lives were as normal as possible, and maintaining her bills. But with mounting medical bills, ongoing treatment, and the added stress of transportation to and from her appointments in Albany, New York, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for her to manage.

Kelly has always been the one to step up for others, especially for her family. She took in her youngest son’s half-brother and became a mother figure for him, too. She’s been doing this all while battling cancer, and yet, she’s still trying to hold it all together for her kids.

But now, I’m asking for your help to take some of that burden off her shoulders. My hope is that this fundraiser can help with her medical expenses, transportation costs, and daily bills. If we’re able to raise enough, the goal is to help Kelly and her boys create lasting memories in a forever home, a place they can feel safe and loved no matter what the future holds.

Kelly’s kids have already been through the unimaginable – losing their father at such a young age. I can’t bear the thought of them losing their mother too, so I’m reaching out to you for support. Even if you can’t donate, a prayer for Kelly and her family would mean the world to us.
