Each year, a small group of dedicated volunteers work tirelessly to make sure our town shines bright for families, visitors, and businesses alike. While Meath County Council kindly support us each year, the reality is that the majority of the planning, setup, fundraising, and running of the event is done by locals, for locals.

Last year, thousands came out to enjoy the Christmas market and lights switch-on. The buzz it brought to the town, the smiles on the kids’ faces, and the boost it gave to local businesses proved one thing: when Kells comes together, amazing things happen.

But here’s the truth: we cannot keep growing without your help.

This year, our goal is to make Kells bigger, brighter, and better than ever.

We want to expand the market and add more festive stalls.

We are working on creating a full weekend-long festival to bring even more people into the town.

We want to add new features like a sensory-friendly area for children, live entertainment, and bigger, brighter displays.
