We are reaching out to the community to support an incredible woman and mother, Kellie, and her vibrant and beautiful 9-year-old daughter, Roux, as they navigate through some tough challenges. After Hurricane Helene wreaked havoc on their town Asheville and home, Kellie’s livelihood and her ability to care for her daughter was severely

impacted. Now, as if the storm damage wasn’t enough, the added burden of mold in their home is creating serious health risks for both Kellie and Roux.

Kellie is one of those rare souls. A mother, a friend, a sister, an auntie—Kellie is the heart that beats in the center of everything she touches. She is the kind of person who makes you feel seen, heard, and loved, no matter where you come from or what you’re going through. As a devoted mother, Kellie has dedicated her life to creating a loving, safe, and full life for herself and her daughter. She is a woman who works tirelessly and selflessly to support her family, ensuring Roux’s education and well-being, while managing all household expenses, including their mortgage. She is the epitome of resilience and selflessness—never asking for anything in return for all the love and care she pours into

those around her. She’s been an unwavering rock for her daughter. For years, Kellie has poured her whole heart into creating a beautiful life for herself and her daughter. She’s built a home filled with love and laughter, a safe place where Roux can grow, learn, and dream big.

Unfortunately, life has thrown Kellie some incredibly difficult curveballs lately. Her job, which is her sole source of income, took a significant hit due to the storm and the ongoing recovery process. With no financial cushion to fall back on and the added pressure of managing a home that is now unsafe for her and Roux, Kellie is in dire need

of support. The repairs to their home are urgent. Mold isn’t just an inconvenience—it’s a danger, and it’s something that must be taken care of for their health and safety.
