Hi, my name is Kelli DeVaurs. I have been living in my current home for 20 years, as well as running my own in-home daycare business there for the past 10 years. When I first moved in, I was living with and helping take care of my great-uncle because his son, my great-cousin, lived out of the area. My great-cousin and I came to an agreement after his dad passed away that I would continue to live there and pay rent, like I already had been, but now with the intention of one day being able to purchase the home for myself. Unfortunately, my great-cousin passed away in April of 2020 and left behind NO will, so our verbal agreement was never formalized or made legal. Due to circumstances out of my control, and that myself and my family had not expected, we found out that the house has to be sold sooner than originally planned and I am not in the financial position I had hoped to be in when I would eventually purchase it. In other words, I could lose not only my home, but my business (daycare) as well very soon.

I am deeply saddened that the place I love calling home, and the place where I do a job everyday that I TRULY love, could be taken away from me. On top of that, I am also sad that if I lose my home and business the families and children that I have come to love and consider my family will be at a loss too. They will have to stress about finding a new place to take their children, a new place where their littles will fell comfortable and safe. I am in need of any financial assistance others are willing to give. Any amount is appreciated and will go directly to the purchase of my home.
