Help Keith St Clair with fire mitigation

Many of you know Keith St Clair, the unsung hero who has tirelessly been working to clear vegetation from Lake Cascade and other at-risk parts of town. On behalf of Keith, we are launching this Go Fund Me campaign to support his efforts to help Lawrence Burde stay compliant with a recent fire inspector fire abatement order.
Most recently, Keith has been helping Lawrence “Larry,”clear a large part of his property which is particularly overgrown with dead trees. Unfortunately, while Keith has spent the last week trying to tackle overgrown and rotted undergrowth (all pro bono), the job is way beyond what Keith can address without professional tree help.
As you may know, Lawrence is a long-time resident of Orinda and has spent his entire life here. He is an amazing historian and can tell you almost anything you want to know about the history of Orinda. Many of you have seen him walking to downtown every day and have kindly given him rides over the years.
Lawrence is concerned about his property and the risk it poses to the neighborhood and yet, he lives on a modest pension and is unable to cover the full financial cost of clearing his almost 1 acre property.
Keith is hoping that together, we might be able to help Lawrence and chip in to cover the costs of the required abatement. Lawrence will contribute what he can but it will not cover the $12K quotation Keith has been provided to remove the most egregious trees (down from $35K-$45K originally estimated).
Keith would welcome whatever contribution you might be able to make to help Lawrence adhere to Moraga-Orinda Fire & Safety regulations. Thank you!
