Help Keep Us Housed Until My New Job Starts
Hi everyone, my name is Tab. I am the sole provider for my fiancée, Mari, our orange cat Arnold, and myself. We have hit an incredibly difficult patch, and I am reaching out because we are facing an immediate crisis and have completely run out of options.
After losing my IT job of 13 years in February, out-of-pocket medical expenses compounded our situation and quickly drained what little money we had left. I've done absolutely everything in my power to keep us afloat here in Phoenix. I've driven for Uber and Lyft, taken odd jobs, sold our belongings on eBay, drained my retirement savings, and relied on loans from family and friends. We've exhausted every single resource we have.
The Good News
I finally secured a new job! I start on June 1st, and we are so relieved to have a way out of this hardship.
The Urgent Crisis
Unfortunately, we aren't going to make it to June 1st without your help. If we don't come up with the money for rent by the end of this week, we will be evicted and face homelessness.
We are asking for help to bridge this final gap so we don't lose everything right before I start working again. The funds raised will go directly toward:
- Immediate Rent + Late Fees: To stop the eviction process by the end of this week. (Every day there's an additional late fee added on as well.)
- Past Due Rent: To cover the half-month of rent from a Flex payment I wasn't able to fulfill last month.
- June's Rent: To secure our housing through next month, since I won't receive my first paycheck on the day I start.
- Bank Overdraft Fees: To clear my negative bank balance so that donations or future earnings aren't immediately absorbed by the bank.
- Health Insurance: To pay the premiums for my recently acquired ACA medical insurance, which is critical so I can continue receiving necessary treatments for my chronic health conditions.
