County Cares is a community-based organization dedicated to meeting essential needs for individuals and families throughout our county. As a board member, I have seen firsthand how The Raven Center has become the heart of our operations, providing food, warmth, and vital resources to 50-60 people each day we are open. Our team works tirelessly to uplift and support our neighbors, especially during their most challenging times, by offering meals, clothing, and a welcoming space for connection.

Right now, we are facing an urgent challenge. As a newly established 501(c)(3), we are actively pursuing grants and long-term funding, but these take time to secure. Meanwhile, we have immediate expenses that are critical to keeping The Raven Center open—covering electricity, heat, and insurance. Without this emergency support, our ability to continue serving the community is at risk, and many of our neighbors would lose access to the help they rely on.
