qathet Coalition to end Homelessness has an urgent need for cash donations to keep us going!

What is needed:

GIFT CARDS: small denomination gift cards for Tim Hortons, McDonalds, or other establishments open between 7 am – 10 am will ensure no one is left out in the cold when the center closes at 7 am.

CASH DONATIONS: Paying people with Lived/Living Experience (PWLLE): Recognizing and compensating those whose expertise and labor makes this work possible.

Why It Matters:

Without mutual aid and the expertise of people with lived and living experience with homelessness, this warming center would not exist. Their leadership, knowledge and work are the foundation of this effort, yet they are too often unpaid for their vital contributions.

For those experiencing homelessness, extreme cold can be life-threatening. This warming center is a lifeline – but we can’t do it alone.
