My name is Carlos Tross,
I am a avid lover of the game of Cricket.
However I quickly realized there was nowhere in the Mtl area to sit back and reminisce about this beautiful game born out of the Caribbean.
So in 2008 I launched the Non Profit organization, The QCCF
( Que Caribbean Cricket Fraternity)
Most commonly known as (The Frat)
To fill that void.
Originally launched as a place to talk & reminisce of all things Cricket. It slowly and gradually morphed into a staple in the Black Community.
For all people to come by have a drink, eat some homemade Caribbean food & treats & enjoy a friendly game of Dominoes if the mood struck.
We also began to offer the venue for many youth activities, small bday parties and other family type gatherings.
Unfortunately with the onslaught of the Covid Pandemic The Frat is at risk of foreclosure. No matter how hard I tried, ie:applying for grants and so forth. I was unable to keep up with the monthly rent.
Only being able to sell food for curb side pick up unfortunately cannot keep the doors open.
My landlord has refused to negotiate and give me anymore time to pursue more funding options.
So if I am unable to raise my past due rent by Feb 15th.....Unfortunately another one of our very few cherished community stomping grounds will sadly disappear.
So I am asking for any donations no matter how big or small will help to KEEP THE DOORS OPEN!
THANKING YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ANY & ALL HELP
