For generations, the Debert Legion has been more than a building. It has been a place of remembrance, service, support, and connection… for veterans, families, seniors, and the wider community.

Our hall is where we gather to honour those who served, host Remembrance Day services, support veterans and their families, and bring people together through everyday moments that matter ~ community meals, celebrations of life, bingo nights, seniors’ programming, youth connections, and local fundraisers.

When emergencies arise, the Debert Legion has even served as a relocation site and warming centre for the community.

Today, we are facing a challenge we cannot meet alone. Our roof has reached the point where repairs are no longer enough. Professional estimates place the cost of replacing the roof at a minimum of $90,000, with additional interior repairs required due to the damage already done.

This need affects more than bricks and mortar. Our ability to fundraise, to support our veterans, and to continue serving the community depends on protecting this building and keeping it safe for ongoing use.

If you trained in Debert, lived here during your military service, attended a Remembrance Day ceremony, volunteered, danced, played cards, shared a coffee, or found comfort within these walls ~ this building is part of your story too.
