For years, Arnold Bennett has been the voice of reason in Montreal when it comes to housing rights. Whether advocating for fair laws, assisting tenants through complex legal battles, or holding landlords accountable, Arnold has remained dedicated to protecting our community. Until COVID and staff retirements forced them to shut down after a 40-year run, his weekend clinics, staffed by lawyers and paralegals, provided essential guidance and representation for those facing housing struggles.
Now, after 30 years of self-funding, Arnold’s 9-to-5 weekday hotline is at risk. To continue offering tenant advocacy and housing rights education, we urgently need public support.
