Help Keep Shepherd's Pantry Open Weekly!

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Ray Jordan and I live in Turner County, Georgia. In Turner County, there are families who quietly struggle every single week to put food on the table. For many of them, Shepherd’s Pantry is not just a resource—it’s a lifeline.

Shepherd’s Pantry, a ministry, is run entirely by volunteers. The Pantry is part of the Second Harvest of South Georgia Network. The Pantry has no salaries, no overhead—just people who care deeply about their neighbors and show up week after week to serve.

But right now, they’re facing a serious challenge.
Due to a shortage of donations, Shepherd’s Pantry no longer has enough funds to consistently purchase meat, fresh fruits, vegetables, and many other food items—the very items that make these food boxes healthy and nourishing. As a result, they’ve had to make a difficult decision:

They’ve been forced to reduce distribution from weekly to bi-weekly.

That means families who depend on this help are now going longer between meals, stretching already thin resources even further.

Here’s the Need
To return to weekly food distribution for an entire year, Shepherd’s Pantry needs:
• $300 per week
• Approximately $15,000 total for the year

That’s it.
• $300 a week keeps the doors open.
• $300 a week helps ensure a child has something fresh to eat.
• $300 a week supports seniors, families, and individuals who are doing their best but need a little help.
• $300 a week fills 200 boxes every week with $75-$100 worth of food, sometimes more.
• The pantry is also open during the week for emergency food needs.

Why This Matters
• This is more than food.
• It’s dignity.
• It’s hope.
• It’s a reminder that someone cares.
• Every box that goes out represents a volunteer who gave their time—and a community that chose not to look the other way.

How You Can Help
If you’ve ever wondered how you could make a real, immediate difference, right here at home—this is it.
• Give what you can
• Pray for the ministry and the families it serves
No gift is too small. When a community comes together, even small contributions become something powerful.

Let’s Do This Together
Imagine what it would mean if we fully funded this need:
✔ Weekly food distribution restored
✔ Meat, fresh fruits, and vegetables back in every box
✔ Hundreds of families served consistently
✔ A local ministry strengthened for the year ahead

We’re not asking for something impossible.
We’re asking our community to take care of our community.

Please give today—and help Shepherd’s Pantry serve every week again.
