Please help the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5390 in Portsmouth, RI stay in operation and install a fire sprinkler system!
In 2023, post leaders embarked on an ambitious revitalization plan to reestablish the post as a hub for the Portsmouth and Aquidneck Island community. Our efforts have resulted in a partially renovated main hall and canteen, vastly increasing our ability to serve local veterans and the community. Since our reopening on November 11th, 2023, we have hosted Memorial Day and Veterans Day events, live music, comedy shows, and public and private ceremonies and receptions. We have also provided free or discounted space to other non-profits and veterans organizations.
However, due to state fire codes, we are required to install a fire sprinkler system to stay in operation. Please help us continue to serve veterans and the community!
