Help Keep Our Family Together

Hi, my name is Miccely Salguero , and I’m urgently trying to raise $4,000 to pay my immigration lawyer before a critical court date on November 12.

I am a wife to a U.S. citizen and a mom to three beautiful young children — ages 6, 4, and 3. I’ve lived in the United States since I was just 4 years old, and I’ll be turning 27 on October 29. This country is the only home I’ve ever known.

Now, with less than a month until my court date, I’m facing the terrifying possibility of being torn away from my husband and children and sent to a country I have no memory of, where I have no family, no connections, and no support.

We have done everything possible to try and raise this money on our own. My husband works tirelessly to provide for our family, but despite his hard work, we just haven’t been able to come up with the amount needed in time. We’ve never in our lives asked for money, nor did we ever imagine being in a situation where we would have to — but we are all out of options. We are already behind on other bills trying to put as much as we can into paying our lawyer, and now we see no other choice but to reach out to our community and ask for help.

My lawyer has been working hard to help prepare my case, but I need to raise the remaining $4,000 urgently in order to continue receiving legal representation. Without it, I may have to face court alone — and the risk of losing everything I love.

With the way things are in this country right now, I am deeply afraid. But I’m also holding on to hope — hope that with your help, we can keep our family together and fight for the chance to stay in the only home we’ve ever known.
